Once you get past the fact that the Smart Deli Baked Ham Style alt-deli slices don't really look or feel like ham, they're actually not too bad. They have a little of that all-too-common fake smoked flavor, but they do kinda taste like ham.

Once you add some lettuce, cheese, and mayo, you have a decent sandwich. But if you're a ham-lover who's looking for a ham substitute, you may not be too impressed.

I'd buy these again, but only if they were on sale. I'd much rather spend my hard-earned money on some Smoked Tofurky.
