Gardenburger's California Burger

Let me start off by saying that I'm not typically a fan of "veggie" burgers. I'm not a big vegetable fan in general, so any alt-patty that relies on chunks of vegetables to provide its flavor isn't going to get high marks from me. Having said that, The California Burger from GardenBurger is actually really good.
I fried my patty up, a few minutes on each side, and it was nice and golden brown. *And* it held its form very well when I transported it to the bun, which can't be said for a lot of veggie patties.
These patties rely on cooked brown rice as the foundation, and I really liked the consistency. They also have the ubiquitous chunks of veggies (corn, broccoli, carrots and bell peppers), but I didn't mind them at all.
These patties actually have very few ingredients, which is always good in my book. The fewer the ingredients, the less likely you'll be ingesting some synthetic additive that will cause you to grow an 11th toe sometime in the future. And if you're a fan of Omega 3 fatty acids, these patties have 280mg of ALA.
I would definitely get these again.
